It is a beautiful, warm, late summer day here at the lake. Our little lake is nestled in the flint hills and is so beautiful. The water level is down since we are in a drought. Hopefully, the upcoming forecast will be right, and we will get some rain this week.



The last picture is from sunflowers picked last fall. Look at the green grass, all we have now is crunchy grass! Gary picked some sunflowers today. He did some research, and found there are 11 varieties of sunflowers that grow in the flint hills. He said he was able to pick 3 varieties within 50 feet. These are what he picked
