Did you have a good Thanksgiving? We had a quiet one since my hubby is getting a knee replacement as I write this. We had to go winterize the cabin as we won’t be able to visit there for several weeks. We headed that way the day after Thanksgiving. We knew there was a possibility of snow and the last we had heard was 1 to 4 inches. Well, on our way out the radio said 4 to 7 inches. We contemplated just shutting everything down and turn around and come home, but thought it would be fun to see snow at the lake. We had only seen a few inches of snow a couple of times before. We watched the weather, got a few things to make a pot of chili and prepared to settle in and watch the snow. The snow started about 11:30 that Saturday morning. It was a beautiful snow with big flakes, and no wind. It snowed until after 11pm that night. In total, 10.5 inches of snow fell! About 1:00 that afternoon, we went for our favorite drives on a non maintained road. We made some hot chocolate and loaded up. It was a beautiful drive. It snowed so hard, you couldn’t see very far in the Hills.

On our drive…..

It was a wonderful weekend and we got the cabin closed up. We went home and there was only about 3 or 4 inches of snow there. Not nearly as pretty and peaceful. Let me know how much snow you got this weekend. I am not a winter girl, but this was beautiful.
We are decorated for Christmas at home and our cabin. I will be sharing that very soon! Don’t forget to do something you love today!
