Spring is Coming! …..Well, Almost!

Spring is almost here! Hopefully in our area, we are on the down-hill slide into spring! I have so many bulbs peeking up in my front and back flower beds. Do you plant any spring bulbs?! I didn’t get any additional bulbs planted this year, so we will see what remains after the squirrels dug them up last fall! I wish they would leave my bulbs alone, but they just can’t seem to!

I love checking on the bulbs in the flower beds.
Every inch means spring is closer – in my mind at least!
Can you tell I hate winter?!

I have to say it’s been a hot minute since I have done a blog post. I have been busy with life, work, and spending some time working on Instagram and Facebook accounts. When I looked back at my blog posts, I realized how much I have enjoyed having those memories to look back at. So, moving forward, please check back often. I will be posting a couple of times a week.

One of my favorite things I have done a few times this winter, was going to a local greenhouse and having coffee. They have this wonderful coffee shop in the actual greenhouse! I always go during the winter to smell the dirt and feel the warmth! It is really a treat and gets me over the winter blues hump! You will have to try it!

As you know, I love putting out little touches of the season in our home. My mom always did this and it has trickled down to me. It could also be a result of being a school admin for 26 years! Gotta have those holiday classroom parties! Anyhow, I love it! I usually put out touches at the house and also at our little cabin.

Here are a few things that I plan to add to my Spring/Easter collection this year- (I am only including the link for your ease – I am not an affiliate for Amazon or Goose Creek Candle Company.)

This the cutest bunny pillow cover (I am ordering this from Amazon)! I just love the head tilt! I love to order pillow covers, it saves space, and is more economical than ordering full pillows.

These towels are from Amazon also! They are just the cutest!

This cute candle is from Goose Creek Candle Company!  These candles have an amazing scent. This would be so cute on a cake stand with moss and speckled eggs around it! (When my candle arrives, I will show you what I mean.) I am ordering another candle from this line – it is a Bread and Milk scent. I thought this sounded interesting and subtle. Be sure to check out their website! Their candles are the best – I have given this brand of candles for gifts and recommended them to friends. Everyone has loved them! Oh, and they have the best sales – so be sure and sign up for their emails. They often run six 3-wick candles for 60 dollars and sometimes free shipping with a certain amount.

The carrot cake candle made me think of making a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. I have a lamb mold, maybe I will finally put it to use and make a carrot cake in it and frost it with the yummiest cream cheese frosting and dust it with coconut lightly. Do any of you have a good carrot cake recipe? If so, would you mind sharing it in the comments?

I found another pillow and there are matching paper napkins. I am ordering a set of 2 paper napkins and plan to frame them for a cute picture on my mantel.

I love all the pastel colors that are spring! Check back in on the blog to see what I am up to next – you never know. I plan to plant my front porch pots and get that decked out for Spring this weekend. I will be sure to share pictures with you all! Please be sure to check out my instagram account and facebook page. Please feel free to share some pictures of your flower gardens, front porches, etc. We can get ideas from each other!

Remember – as always – do something you LOVE everyday – what does that look like for you? It doesn’t have to cost a thing, it can be really small. I think my thing today was I was driving my fun car and one of the songs came on the radio that my best friend and I loved when we were in high school and would drag Main street! I still remembered all the words! Unexpected for sure, but something I loved, and it wouldn’t have mattered to anyone but me!!! LOL! Thanks so much for checking in!
