Valentine Snack Mix

Hello, I finally got everything all together to share this recipe. I planned to share it last Friday afternoon, but it just wasn’t able to happen. My printer went out and I wanted to print the sweet tag that I made to share. Anyway, I wanted to take a quick minute to share a fun snack mix recipe with you. This mix is so versatile. It is great for a classroom party snack, a easy gift for friends, I have even used it as a favor at each place setting for a holiday meal.

I think this looks festive and it is so yummy! I sprinkle a few of the left over M&Ms over the top when I put it in a bowl, or in a bag.

The almond bark and the white chocolate chips in pan to melt. Use a very low heat, or you can microwave, but I never have much luck with that –

This is the mix spread out on parchment paper to dry. I mix the popcorn and the melted chocolate. (**This time I added cheerios this time, but you could add any other type of cereal you would like and peanuts are good also) then spread on parchment paper. Sprinkle with M&Ms, mix while on parchment, then add the sprinkles. Let set there until the mixture is dry. Then you can put it in a ziplock storage bag until you put in favor bags or serve.

Here is the recipe, please look at the notes below it for some fun additions.

***If you decide to add cereal, I added 2 cups and then used 4 blocks of almond bark, and 3/4 bag of white chocolate chips.

I have included all the ingredients so you will be able to order and just pick up. I thought this might be handy, because things get busy. They didn’t have almond bark, but had the melting chocolate; I have used this before. I did the math and you would use the full bag of the melting chips and then use a little over half the bag of white chocolate chips.

I thought this turned out cute, and am excited to share it with you.

I hope you try this fun mix. Feel free to change it up, change the cereal, add nuts, change for the season. I did a version for the 4th of July and added star sprinkles, Captain Crunch Star Cereal and drizzled with red and blue melts. It was so good and very festive for our celebration.

I am so grateful that you took the time to stop by. I hope your Monday is wonderful!

Cheers!

Chenn
