This week looks to be a glorious week here in the Midwest! Temps are going to be in the mid 80s and sunny! I am ready to get our back yard and patio ready for spring! I have a lot of work to do. I can’t wait to spend some evenings outside visiting with friends and entertaining! I have always been drawn to the Nancy Meyer’s design styling. I love layering textures, neutrals and eclectic finds. I have always gravitated toward that style inside my home, but have used a different style outdoors. I have neutral cushions on our seating area and have always used a somewhat traditional, fun look, with a coastal touch. But I think this year, I may go with a look more Nancy Meyers inspired. I have put a collage of things that I love that lean in to that look. The pillows I included tend that direction, being more subtle and the different patterns add texture and layers. When summer gets here, I may have to add a little more color and save this look for spring and then tweak the look for fall.

I have several rugs similar to what is pictured above. I love them all so much! I use these outdoor sisal like rugs in my home and in our cabin. I love them at the lake, because you never know what will be tracked in and I don’t want to have to worry about anything. I also have one under my kitchen table. The rugs don’t stain, They clean so easily, so I never stress over a spill; and they wear very well and look great and you can’t beat the price point. I will be adding some of these accent pillows to my shopping basket. I can’t wait to see how they look with my seating group. I need to take a look at my planters and pots to see if any need to be replaced, or upcycled by painting. I would also like to hang some outdoor art on our patio. I also need to get our curtains hung up on our pergola . Let me know if anything looks interesting to you, or your thoughts for styling your outdoor entertaining spaces.
I have linked everything here for you.
Cheers!
Chenn
